By this stage the designer, after working for a year on this project lost steam and had writers block. As the Client who at that stage I was unaware they were partners in a large business, Busy Busy.
I said would look in into the hold up as I was keen to commence construction. After a half hour meeting with Ted the designer, I put him back on track. We changed the design to a suspended concrete slab home stepping itself up the hill , and thus complied with the new building code.
During construction , we had no access on this narrow section of Pacific Terrace. So the job had to run with military precision, with delivery and parking at a premium.
This 350 m/2 home sits proud on the ridge, of what was know to the local kids of the 70,s Toboggan Hill, a grassy section of steep hill where the locals kids used to play.
Its sea blue roof makes itself disappear when looking down from Lows Look out at Coolum.
